I didn&#039;t ever question whether this was ever a Chinese proverb or not.  Ok, so technically &quot;handsome is &lt;i&gt;as&lt;/i&gt; handsome does&quot; makes sense (although &quot;handsome is &lt;i&gt;that&lt;/i&gt; handsome does&quot; doesn&#039;t) if you use a not-so-obvious definition of handsome, but it sounds stupid when you consider the general use of the word handsome today. 

I must be really bored to reply to that comment.</description>
